+ Who owns The Ophir Hotel?

The Ophir Hotel is owned and operated by Tim Ireson and his family. Tim lives in Orange with his wife, Jo, and three young daughters. Tim loves chatting to customers so introduce yourself at the bar if you haven’t met already!

+ Where is The Ophir Hotel?

Just off the Great Western Highway and a few minutes from the Orange town-centre, the Ophir Hotel is located at 84 Glenroi Avenue, Orange NSW 2800. The best entry to the pub is via our carpark on Garden Street. For more information or to get in touch visit contact us.

+ Is there parking available at The Ophir Hotel?

There is plenty of parking available. The car park just off Garden Street is designated for Ophir Hotel customers. Don’t want to drive? Please make the most of our courtesy bus, which runs from 5.30 pm every Friday and Saturday night. Simply ask one of our staff at the pub, or call us on (02) 6362-4995 to book your seat.

+ Does the Ophir have a courtesy bus?

We do have a courtesy bus, it only operates from 5:30 pm Friday and Saturday. To organise a pick-up call (02) 6362 4995.

+ Does The Ophir Hotel have a dress code?

The Ophir Hotel is a relaxed family environment. We ask that you wear footwear (thongs are fine), pants or shorts, and a top.

+ Is the Ophir dog and pet friendly?

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at this property (other than Assistance Dogs, which we do welcome into our venue).

+ Is The Ophir Hotel wheelchair accessible?

Yes, The Ophir Hotel is wheelchair accessible. We have disabled parking spots in our Garden Street carpark, a wheelchair compliant ramp at our rear entry to the dining room (which then provides access to everywhere within the venue), as well as disabled bathroom facilities.

+ When is The Ophir Hotel open?

We’re pouring drinks from 10 am till 12 am, Monday to Saturday, and 10 am – 10 pm on Sundays. Our kitchen is open from 11:30am-2:30pm for lunch and 5:00pm-8:30pm for dinner.

+ Is The Ophir Hotel open on Public Holidays (Good Friday, Easter, Christmas, Anzac Day, Boxing Day, Australia Day)?

We’re open all year round except for Christmas day.

+ Do I need to make a booking for the Ophir Hotel?

Bookings are recommended for lunch and dinner. Click here if you’re looking to make a reservation. If you want to use the public bar or beer garden, there is no need to book. We can’t wait to see you.

The Ophir Hotel’s facilities and amenities

+ Does The Ophir Hotel have a beer garden?

We do, and we recently renovated it! Drop in and enjoy one of our cabanas or watch the kids in the outdoor playground. The beer garden is open as long as we’re open. Our playground closes at 10pm.

+ Can you smoke or vape at The Ophir Hotel?

We have smoke-free areas as well as designated smoking areas. We don’t allow smoking or vaping in the public bar, restaurant or beer garden. We do allow smoking and vaping in the designated smoking area located next to our outdoor Cabana Bar and in our outdoor gaming room.

+ Does The Ophir Hotel have TAB facilities and pokies?

Yes, The Ophir Hotel has a dedicated TAB gaming area and pokies.

+ Can I watch the football, UFC or other sporting events at The Ophir Hotel?

Yes, The Ophir Hotel has a dedicated sports area in the main bar. And with Foxtel access, we’re always showing premier UCF events and other sporting events. If your sport of choice isn’t on a screen when you come in, speak to a staff member, and we should be able to change one of the TVs over.

Family and kids at The Ophir Hotel

+ Is the Ophir Hotel family-friendly?

Absolutely! At the Ophir Hotel, family is important to us. All patrons have access to parent’s rooms and related facilities. We also have a dedicated children’s menu and an outdoor children’s play area to keep the kids busy while you enjoy a meal. + What are the age limits on the kids' play area at The Ophir Hotel?

There is something at The Ophir Hotel for kids of all ages, whether it’s the playground or play area. We do, however, ask that parents supervise their children at all times. Our playground is not appropriate for children over 12 and in busier times, not recommended for children under 3. Your children are your responsibility - please ensure they play nicely with other kids.

Yes. We reckon just because you can’t eat gluten doesn’t mean you can’t have a delicious pub meal. That’s why we’ve got a great range of gluten-free options. Check out our menu to see what’s available.

We’re constantly updating our menu to bring new and exciting flavours to the plates of every patron. Please ask at the restaurant for our weekly specials.

+ What events are on at the Ophir Hotel?

There’s a lot happening at the Ophir Hotel. Thursday to Sunday, we run regular events; member draws, live music, and karaoke, to name a few. We also have regular events on top of these weekly events. + Does The Ophir Hotel have karaoke?

We don’t currently run a trivia or quiz night, but watch this space... we hope to add this to our events calendar soon!

Accommodation at The Ophir Hotel

+ How far is The Ophir Hotel located from the centre of Orange?

+ When is check-in and check-out time at The Ophir Hotel accommodation?

If you’re coming to stay with us, check-in is usually any time between 2 pm – 10 pm, while check-out is by 10 am. The minimum check-in age is 18.

+ What are the reception office hours at The Ophir Hotel?

We don’t have a front desk at The Ophir Hotel for accommodation guests. Upon your arrival, please speak to our staff at the bar. They will check you in, give you your room key and relevant instructions and direct you to the rooms and guest parking.

+ Do you have roll-away beds available?

Unfortunately, we don’t offer extra bedding options.

+ Can I cancel my reservation for free at The Ophir Hotel and receive a full refund?
